Madison Indiana Wellness Sanctuary

🌿 Our Story

My Oasis 502: A Salt & Light Sanctuary was born from friendship, shared purpose, and a lifelong passion for helping others thrive.

Co-founders Teresa Jewell and Candy Carpenter are both retired educators who devoted their careers to guiding students and families across southern Indiana. Teresa served as a teacher, counselor, and Director of Guidance at Madison Consolidated High School and Jac-Cen-Del Schools, while Candy supported students as both teacher and counselor in the Jennings County Public Schools. Together, they’ve spent decades walking beside people through seasons of growth, stress, and change.

Now, they bring that same heart for encouragement into the world of holistic wellness.

Their shared vision became My Oasis 502, a peaceful wellness sanctuary in downtown Madison, Indiana, where guests can slow down, breathe deeply, and restore balance through natural therapies including salt therapy (halotherapy), red light therapy, and infrared sauna sessions.

Blending their backgrounds in education, counseling, and community connection with Teresa’s experience in sales, marketing, and business development, they’ve created a space that feels warm, restorative, and genuinely welcoming.

At My Oasis 502, every guest is treated like a friend walking through a doorway of possibility — a place to relax, recharge, and rediscover your best self through the natural power of salt, light, heat, and intention.

🌟 Meet the Founders

Teresa Jewell — Co-Founder, Counselor, and Community Builder

Teresa has spent her life helping others find clarity, confidence, and purpose. As a teacher, counselor, and former Director of Guidance at Madison Consolidated High School, she guided countless students and families through life’s pivotal moments.

After retiring from education, Teresa brought her natural gift for connection into the world of sales, marketing, and holistic wellness, finding new ways to empower people and strengthen community. Today, she brings that same compassion — along with her signature warmth and optimism — to My Oasis 502, helping guests feel seen, supported, and inspired to live well.

Her leadership shapes the center’s focus on stress relief, relaxation, and natural healing therapies, making her a trusted guide for those seeking balance in mind, body, and spirit.

Candy Carpenter — Co-Founder, Educator, and Encourager

Candy’s long career in the Jennings County Public Schools was defined by compassion, encouragement, and wholehearted care. As both teacher and counselor, she supported students as they discovered their strengths and navigated life’s challenges.

That same nurturing spirit shines through in her work at My Oasis 502, where she helps cultivate an environment of peace, belonging, and mindful restoration. Candy believes deeply in the power of kindness — and in the difference a single moment of stillness can make.

Her calming presence helps shape the sanctuary experience, especially for guests seeking relaxation, grounding, and gentle wellness support.

🌈 A Sanctuary Built with Purpose

Together, Teresa and Candy have built more than a wellness center. They’ve created a holistic healing space where education, empathy, and natural therapies come together in harmony.

My Oasis 502 is their shared invitation to the community:
breathe deeply, live lightly, and shine brightly.

A Message from Teresa & Candy

“We built Oasis 502 as a place where people could breathe deeply, rest fully, and rediscover their light. Whether you come for salt therapy, red light therapy, or simply a moment of calm — our hope is that you leave feeling renewed, inside and out.”
